Hello.

Josephine Chase is a painter, storyteller, landscaper, designer, and installation artist. 

 

Josephine balances art historical research with work that explores color, textile, use, space, and land. 

 

Born in Burlington, Vermont to a Liberian mother and Irish-American father, Josephine is influenced by West African folk art, as well as New England Americana.

 

Josephine currently lives in Burlington, Vermont where she earned an MFA from the Vermont College of Fine Art. She graduated from the Maine College of Art with a Bachelor of Fine Art in Painting and a Minor in Art History.
